PURPOSE & SCOPE  

We are currently looking for a Loan Processor responsible for establishing loan files, ordering documentation required to process loan request, review for completeness of all loan documentation, and handling customers requests for information.

Required Skills

  • May prepare, type and process a variety of documents required to set up both routine and complex new loans in accordance with approved loan commitment.
  • Reviews and recommends documents necessary for closing. Reviews post closing documents.
  • Orders any documentation required to close a transaction (i.e., title work, credit reports, hazard insurance, payoff statements, survey, inspection, and other miscellaneous documentation).
  • Prepares documents required for loan related issues such as modifications, payoffs, etc.
  • May review loan documents with customers and obtain proper signatures on loan documents and disburse loan proceeds.
  • Assist in processing HMDA & CRA reporting.
  • Assist in obtaining financial information from customers.
  • Researches and corrects technical exceptions reported by Loan Officer.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists customers and Bank personnel with inquiries pertaining to loan applications and documents; handles related correspondence and telephone inquiries.
  • Assists in special projects as needed.
  • Assists in preparing loan committee documents.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Skills/Equipment

  • Experience with software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle detail oriented transactions.
  • Ability to set and meet commitments and deadlines and effectively handle outside pressure.
  • Ability to overcome and resolve problems efficiently and timely.
  • Good analytical ability in order to resolve complex problems.
  • Good written, verbal and organizational skills.
REQUIREMENTS  

Required Experience

Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position.

  • Additionally, required to complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.
  • Managers are responsible to ensure staff/departmental attendance.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact positively to customers in person and on telephone.
  • One to three years experience in banking and/or loan documentation preferred.
